about

welcome. this blog is about little things. only about thoughts; no explanations, no reasons. i don't define anything. because when you define anything, you restrict it.
i don't like restrictions.

i write here being just myself - without any trace of other things or attachment. sometimes it is a kid within me, sometimes it is a bad me, a stranger me, an unknown me.

in these days

i still haven't gotten around learning guitar - thing that i have always kept longing for. one thing i'd regret if i die all of sudden.

dogs with garlands

dogs with garlands! it is 'kukur tihar' in nepal.

they (dogs) must be mesmerized not knowing what it was. well, to tell you - we have a festival 'tihar' not only for people but also for animals. the first day of tihar is 'kaag tihar' (means crow tihar), the next is 'kukur tihar' (dog tihar), followed by 'gai tihar' (cow tihar) and then comes 'tihar' for us human.

for 'non-nepalese' tihar means 'festival f lights'. you can see every house and streets lit by candles or traditional lights.

'kukur' = 'dog' (in nepali) by the way. i should have mentioned this earlier.

this day a big red 'tika' is put on a dog's forehead and a beautiful garland around the neck. after worshipping the dog, it is given very delicious meal. the saying 'every dog has his day' comes true here ;) even a stray dog is looked upon with respect. on this day you can see dogs running around with garlands on their neck.

what? did you just say you want to be a dog? :)

not going home

i thought i was going home. but it didn't happen again. it was a phone call that changed everything.

my mobile rang early in the morning. my father on the another end of line told me that they want to celebrate tihar festival in dang. now my mother will go to dang straight from kathmandu. so will do my sister.

there would be no one in home. i told them it was ok. so, i am not going home.

wish you happy tihar...

Thanks for stopping by!

at last

enjoy the little things,
for one day you may look back and
realize they were the big things.
